Have you ever watched a satellite launch? Do you know that sometimes even when the satellite is perfectly on target they will blow it up? Imagine that! A perfectly good (and incredibly expensive) satellite and it's precisely on course and they blow it up? Why? The reason is that there is a certain speed it takes to break out of the earth's orbit. That's called "escape velocity." I believe it is in the neighborhood of 25,000 miles per hour. If the satellite has not reached that critical speed, then even though it's on course it won't break out of the earth's orbit. The scientists blow it up so it won't fall back to earth, hurt people, and do damage.
I believe our business and personal life is much the same. People need to create critical speed so they can break through to the next level. One way to do that is to take MASSIVE action.
You identify a period of time like a month or six months. You commit to have an extra-ordinary amount of action. It is not a pace you can keep up forever. Its purpose is to create breakthrough momentum.
Did you know a train that is stopped can have a small six-inch block of steel on the track and that alone can prevent it from moving, though the locomotive weighs 40 tons or more! Yet, that same train moving with a momentum of 50 miles per hour will run right through a tractor-trailer like it was paper. Momentum can overcome many problems that would otherwise keep you stuck. It is more effective to focus on building momentum and letting momentum overcome the obstacle you face, rather than focusing directly on the obstacle.

This will allow you to draw much more volume through your business by having your new Team Members (Associates) find their own set of 15 customers and as they say, "Many hands make light work." This is an achievable goal for anyone who is involved in developing a strong and successful USANA business.
Of course, many continue to develop their PC base as indeed this is primarily what our business is about and over time a very substantial PC base will be achieved. What is recognised though, is that people have a “warm market” that they will initially share USANA product with to build their base of 15 PC’s and over time, this “warm market” will diminish. Therefore the growth of the business will slow down. In understanding and recognising this fact, USANA have a system in place allowing you to grow your business volume by developing a team of people who just like you see value in the USANA products, have a passion for health and wellness, and are interested in developing a business of their own with USANA. By sharing the business opportunity with others who share your passions and interests, you can continue to keep your business volume turnover growing, and indeed you are now achieving this volume growth without your own effort – i.e. leverage. This just makes good business sense.
The development of a business team is optional, however, for those who wish to achieve a very solid residual business income, this forms an important part of the business development strategy. Your Monthly Business Volume - The Most Important Number In Your Business
What You Earn Depends On Your Weekly/Monthly Volume Turnover
What you earn from your USANA business is directly related to the GSV amount (Group Sales Volume) that moves through your business each week/month. This is no different to any business - the more volume/product etc that moves each month, the more profit/earnings is made. The weekly/monthly volume turnover of your business is therefore the single most important number in your business and one that you should be looking to build on each month to grow your business.
Moving Up In The World
Once you have been through the early business development phase and achieved the Director position, your monthly volume turnover becomes very important as it now becomes a critical part of achieving the senior positions in the compensation plan.
The first position past Director is Bronze Director and to achieve this position you must have a weekly business volume 8,000 pts. It's all very straightforward.
The 2 Ways Of Building Your Weekly/Monthly Volume Turnover
There are only 2 ways to grow your monthly volume turnover:
- Keep building your Preferred Customer base by registering more PC's yourself;
- Share your business opportunity with others and build a team. Your business team will also register PC's to build their own Preferred Customer base. This additional business volume counts towards your overall business volume turnover.
Method 1
By building your business volume via registering PC's yourself you will build your monthly volume turnover slowly over a long time frame. Your business is 100% reliant on your own personal efforts and your business volume growth and income is therefore limited by your own time. This is a "Pocket Money" business approach and will give you a few $100 per month over time as you build your PC base. You want to make sure you build and maintain a PC base of 150 customers if this is your approach - this will give you $1000 per month in income.
Method 2
By sharing the business opportunity with others you can grow your business volume turnover faster. Your business is no longer 100% reliant on your own personal efforts. You are growing your business volume turnover and growing your income and can invest less of your own time in your business to do so. This is the business model of those who have serious business income in the $1,000's or even tens of $1,000's in mind. You also now have the added benefit of being paid more income and more bonuses as the compensation plan rewards those who are growing their business in this manner.
You will look to build your own PC base to 15 customers over time (this helps you to achieve and maintain a strong "Qualified Business" which you will want because you now have a business team that will be duplicating what you do and this will create a much higher volume turnover within your business. So you will also now have a team of others who will be working towards their PC base of 15. The numbers are easy to understand... if you build alone you have 150 PC's or approximately $15,750 in business volume turnover each month.
The Autoship purchase value of 1 box of Essentials & 1 Biomega is $105. So each PC on the Autoship program is worth $105 (or 42 pts) in volume turnover in your business.
If you have a team of 5 others who have a PC base of 15 you now have 75 PC's at $105 per month or $7,875 (or 3150 pts) in business volume turnover. Now add each of your 5 Team Members personal Autoship at $1250 or (500 pts) each month & you now have $9125 (or 3650 pts) in business volume turnover. You have only done $1,825 of this volume yourself... but now your business is a whole lot bigger, and more volume is moving through it. You have established leverage in your business volume, and as a result you have also leveraged your income. Same amount of work i.e. you still only have your own 15 PC's that you are maintaining, but a lot more income! The best thing is that now your business can continue to grow as your team members also look to leverage their business volume turnover, and their income!
Based on the above business team you are taking your monthly income from the $100 per month you are earning from your own 15 PC's, to $580.50 and you still only have 15 PC's of your own that you are maintaining! Imagine what happens when your business team starts to also develop a business team of their own to leverage their monthly volume turnover and income. Imagine what you could do with an extra $500 per month in income coming in each month? The down payments on a new lifestyle, holiday away, car, new clothing...
